He's not anti-social but he's not nearly a gregarious and charming. He's frighteningly smart and picks up on the smallest of details and is very competitive academically. He also has a tendency to call things as he sees them and even when he's right it can get him into trouble. He's been accused of being arrogant and a jackass on numerous occasions, especially by girls. He does however have a wickedly sharp sense of humor. People fascinate and frustrate him all at the same time. He's very loyal to his brother, and while they drive each other crazy they also have the tendency to need each other to be around. top Appearance Ironically, Matt is the pretty boy of the Grey twins. His brown hair is usually styled and he has brown eyes that vary from intense to puppyish although the latter is much more rare. His face is quite expressive times. Of average height and build, running had kept him in shape and gives him time to think over things. He's a casual although stylish dresser. Matt and his twin brother Robbie were born and raised in Las Vegas to parents who both worked in the industry (Robbie was born first, a fact he still lords over Matt). They had an older sister Neve and later a younger sister Ari. Robbie was always more social and Matt more studious but they formed a close bond with Jackson Ride and Will McLean, two other Stories they went to school with. Both boys participated in sports while they were in high school with Robbie being an all around athlete and Matt sticking to cross-country and track more as a way to keep in shape then to be an athlete. Robbie was always more popular with the ladies than Matt who got slapped more times then he liked to admit. The twins were in high school when their sister Neve became unexpectedly pregnant and quickly married. They both adored Sophie in their own ways but neither seemed surprised when it not only busted up but caused Neve's best friend (and his unrequited crush on Neve) to leave town. top After High School Matt and Robbie took a year off to travel and work with a program after high school. Robbie wanted to save the world, Matt went along to keep Robbie's antics from “destroying” it. When the year came up, the twins enrolled at UCLA and pledged Kappa Tau Gamma. Matt maintains they're tendency to have arguments break into wrestling matches cinched their admittance into the frequently rowdy fraternity. Matt also met Hunter, who had been the watson to his Holmes in his last life. By junior year, Robbie would be the Fraternity President with Matt as VP. At UNCLA, Matt decided to study anthropology and frequently found himself at odds and competing with Cameron White, a girl that seemed to fascinate and frustrate him at the same time. Robbie got involved in an off-again-on-again relationship with a girl named Brynn whom Matt quickly grew to despise. At one point, Robbie almost proposed to the girl but she broke it off with him for good instead. top What's the Story Introduction Matt was first introduced having one of what had not been his first arguments with Cameron White in one of their Anthropology classes. top Courting of Cameron White  Cameron White (Anne Hathaway), Matt's rival turned girlfriend. Matt's antagonist relationship with Cameron White finally came to a head when they were assigned to work on the same class project together. While in the library their bickering turned into making out (Robbie found this hilarious) and the next thing they knew they were having a harder time keeping their hands off of each other. The project was finally finished with an all nighter at Matt's fraternity house.
